Radosveta Zhelyazkova is an artist who specializes in portrait and landscape oil paintings.

The artist received her education in “painting and drawing” from the Art Academy “Riaci” in Florence and the National Art Academy in Sofia. Her favorite technique is oil colors on canvas.

Radosveta is known for her unique style that reveals combination between abstraction and figurative art.

Her collection of portraits painted in three colors called “Process (Sepia effect)” combines in an effective way figures and abstraction. The collection of human bodies and faces unites realistic elements of the human figure and the face with elements that are purely abstract.

The abstraction fills the insides of the models and thus reveals the human’s beauty and emotions in a different and original way.

Spontaneity and sense of freedom play significant role both in her life and her art. She is free-spirited and independent artist – a brightly burning candle in human form and in front the easel. Fire is her element and her wide audience can see it everywhere in her art – igniting all shapes and forms with the living spark of life. Her art works play an important role:

to trigger the viewers’ imagination in order to address them to elaborate personal interpretations.

She has close association with nature and love of the rustic life. Her hobbies include horseback riding, camping and gardening. Her family owns fields of lavender which inspires her choice of themes and objects in her landscapes.

Some of Radosveta’s solo and group exhibitions include those at National Ethnographic Museum, Sofia; Caelumn Gallery in Chelsea, Manhattan; “Arabesque: Contemporary Conversations” at The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, Florida; Orlando public library at the “The Genius of Women” art show, Orlando, Florida; Visionary Art Award 2018, International exhibition – Moscow; Flyer art gallery, Rome; Ruse state art gallery, Bulgaria.

The artist was an international finalist, from the international art contest “The genius of women” 2016 organized by the non-profit organization “Women in the Arts” Inc., Orlando, Florida – dedicated to promoting excellence in the profession of women’s fine art; a third place winner of the International Art and Design competition, hosted by Art Academy Riaci, Florence.
