Bordel, Roses and Thorns

My new one is called “Bordel, Roses and Thorns”. It is such a great challenge to paint a bordel with all that it includes: entertainment, splendor, glitter, beauty and emotions. I painted “Bordel” mostly in red. Red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs. It exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy. Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. 🙂

My Bordel is 60 cm long and 50 cm high, full with red color, lights, beauty and grazia. The work represents ten dressed female prostitutes from a brothel.

I will be exhibiting at Women art exhibition “Roses and thorns”, 18 November – 8 December 2017, New Jersey, US

I am pleased to announce that I was invited to exhibit at the women art show, called “Roses and thorns” , 18 November – 8 December 2017, in the Union City Museum of Art, New Jersey, US. The exhibition is part of an art cycle with the special guest – New Jersy’s Mayor, Mr. Brian P. Stack and the Board of Commissioners
За мое голямо удоволствие бях поканена да участвам в изложба “Рози и бодили” в Юниън Сити Музей в Ню Джързи, САЩ. Датите са 18 ноември до 8 Декември, 2017.

Илиян Любомиров – София / Мобилна Книжарница “ДУМИ НА 4 ГУМИ”

Илиян Любомиров е млад поет, известен още като Августин Господинов.
Отличителното за Мобилната Книжарница е, че представя и продава единствено български писатели и поети. Книжарницата е малка и уютна, като за целта е използван ретро бус.Пред него ще има шатра с няколко стола, на които читателите да могат да седнат да изпият чаша кафе, чай или вино и да поговорят с Илиян за тенденциите в литературата, да се допитат до него за препоръки и да споделят впечатления. 20% от прихода през деня от продажба на книги – съвременна българска литература, ще се дари чрез книги на библиотеката на читалището в Белослав.

Фестивал на шевицата 9 Септември

На 09 Септември ще участвам в Първия “Фестивал на шевицата”, Белослав 2017.

Фестивалът предоставя трибуна на особено колоритна част от бита и традицията ни – везбата. На фокус ще са автентичната шевица и нейните съвременни интерпретации с израз в различни артикули и продукти на ръчното творчество. Ще участвам с проекта си “Кукли в костюми”. Проектът се състои от картини в техника масло на платно, с които представям автентични български носии от различни фолклорни райони.
Ще се радвам да ме посетите на щанд № 21 🙂

Dolls with roses

The new “faceless” art piece from my project is called “Dolls with roses”.

This particular two-dimensional artwork represents dolls dressed in a traditional Bulgarian costume, coming from Haskovo region. In order to emphasize the costume’s details, which is the symbol of traditions, culture and immortality I have “deleted” the doll’s face which symbolizes mortality. All my art works included in the project “Doll with costumes” are painted with no face.
The size of the painting is 70 x 50 x 1.5 cm, technique: oil on canvas. “Dolls with roses” will be exhibited together with all the other artpieces from the project at an art fair in Varna during the “Festiva od the Bulgarian Embroidery” on 9th of September.Read More »Dolls with roses

Latest work: Doll with peaches

My Latest work: Doll with peaches

I am having a wonderful time making my project called “Dolls in costumes”! It includes paintings about the traditional Bulgarian dress and its ornaments and details. This particular artwork represents a doll dressed in a traditional Bulgarian costume, from “Kustendil” region. In order to emphasize the costume’s details, which is the symbol of traditions, culture and immortality I have “deleted” the doll’s face which symbolizes mortality.

The most colorful exhibition I have been to – “Fire Rooster”!

This was the most colorful openning reception I have ever been to and participated in! It is called “Fire rooster” and was made to honor the Year of the Fire Rooster. According to the Chinese zodiac, 2017 is the year of Rooster (Fire Rooster). The group exhibition is at Gallery Art Café J., from March 01-March 10 in Sofia. I had one painting on the wall made especially for the event.

Award ceremony for “Celebrating the Genius of Women” art competition organized by Women in Arts Inc., Orlando Florida

I’m one of the lucky finalists that was chosen by Women in the Arts Inc., for the 2016 competition from the international category.
